Directions
The Atlantic Building (1401 Spruce Street, Philadelphia) is a 22 story, 238-unit residential building that is being renovated with a new type of HVAC system. The system uses domestic hot and cold water to heat and cool, thereby, eliminating most of the HVAC piping. At the heart of the concept is the IPS fan coil product line which has several features to allow it to be used on potable water systems. Overall, the system gives the performance of a four-pipe fan coil at the approximate first cost of a VTAC and can provide LEED points, improved sound, less maintenance, improved energy, etc. On site, we will feature three stations to describe the equipment and system in more detail:
1st station: Water Cooled Rotary Screw Chillers with VFD
Rotary Screw Chiller – energy efficient and reliable, simplified capacity control, quiet reliable vertical rotary screw compressors, consistent loading/unloading, no external oil pump.
2nd Station: Corrosion Free Induced Draft Cooling Tower
CorrosionFree Cooling Tower – Easy maintenance all fiberglass seamless construction, corrosion, chemical and weather resistant, longer life span, low environmental impact.
3rd Station: Integrated Piping System
IPS – Lower cost, piping reduction, boiler reduction, pump reduction, associated equipment reduction or elimination, labor cost reduction, LEED points.
Food and drinks will be provided compliments of Sass Moore and Associates.
