Presentation Abstract:

In its original construct “sustainability” was much more of a qualitative attribute than a quantitative one. However, as our capability to model, measure and predict building performance has grown, so has the capacity to put numbers to sustainability.  Mandated targets for energy use (EUI), energy benchmark reporting; commissioning and/or Carbon emissions have created a more quantifiable landscape on which to assess sustainability.  This program will look at the case and cause of sustainability including the burgeoning focus on embedded Carbon.
